Philosophy

The Faculty of veterinary medicine consists of faculty members with expertise in veterinary sciences, diagnostic skills, surgery, imaging, radiology, diversities in medicine, public health and preventive medicine.  They apply these skills to a wide range of research and innovations in modern science. The Faculty  takes  full advantage of professional multidisciplinary in veterinary sciences to mitigate against diseases transmitted from animals to humans (zoonoses), outbreaks of pandemic diseases, as well as emerging and re-emerging diseases. Its professional Doctor of Veterinary Medicine undergraduate curriculum is designed to serve as a prerequisite reflecting its multidisciplinary veterinary sciences that underlies the Faculty’s postgraduate programmes.
